It is difficult to recommend specific books because there are many books that can be helpful but they have to fit with your particular needs of the moment. Their ability to make a difference depends on your receptivity or readiness to embody the message they bring. Most books are just words on paper that can be intellectually useful but do not necessarily hit the spot. A very good approach to overcome this reliance on the mind’s intellect is to go to a use book stores and scan all probable books looking for the one in about 100 that actually speaks to you at some level.
In this way we short circuit our normal book picking strategies and begin to move towards using intuition to guide us. At first it may be a bit hit and miss, but if we pay close attention over time, very often we can select just the right book at the right time.
