Who Seeks Therapy?

There are times throughout life when each of us faces challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed, confused, depressed, or anxious. Psychotherapy can help move you toward a greater sense of well-being and empowerment. Perhaps most importantly, it can help to make life feel manageable, meaningful and interesting again and lead to a greater sense of contentment.

Life only demands from you the strength you already possess. The key is not to run away or to avoid what needs to change.

Most people I see are ordinary people who for one reason or another have encountered difficulties they would like some help with. The range of people who seek psychotherapy come from all walks of life and cover a diverse set of characteristics.

I have sat across from a therapist and can understand what therapy is like from a client’s perspective.  It can be challenging but ultimately, I found it to be an invaluable experience.

Psychotherapy Techniques

I believe that each person is unique and requires a different therapy per their inner nature. That said, I sometimes use;

Traditional Talk Therapy
Relaxation Training
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Depth Psychology
Psychodynamic Therapy
Insight/Awareness Techniques
The above depends upon individual situations and needs.

Due to Covid virus situation, I currently only see people via Zoom.  I do see people from all over the world via Zoom and have for some time - working in this manner is not a new thing for me.  I find it a great way to do therapy with people and allows access to a variety of people from different countries who otherwise would not have access to my services. I do not find much difference working with Zoom than the more traditional face to face interactions.  People can and have experienced significant benefits working in this manner.

If you would like to do some work together in a supportive and confidential atmosphere drop me an email through the contact form on this page and we can discuss arrangements.

My usual fee is $120 USD payable on the day of the session.

Psychotherapy takes a real commitment. Having paid out of pocket myself for therapy in the past, I know it can be a real stretch financially. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please discuss your situation with me to see if a sliding scale can apply.

Session length is 1 hour.

I do not offer try before you buy sessions.
